Products I have been loving this Summer | Eyeko, Urban Decay, Becca and many more

We are now at the end of summer, and at the beginning of autumn as known as ‘fall’. Summer was quite interesting and there were some makeup products which I discovered this summer. I’m happy that I mostly stayed away from the hype. I say ‘mostly’ because I slipped a few times, but I got up! Hallelujah! I got back up and stayed true to myself and my bank account. Many YouTubers, well known brands, celebrities released makeup products this summer from liquid lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, face palettes amongst other things. Highlighters took centre stage…

BECCA X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette on Dark Skin | Reviews and Swatches

I succumbed guys! I did and I am sorrrryyyyyyy! I know I tell you not to bow into ‘Instagram’ pressure to buy makeup products, but I did with this one. What am I talking about? The BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette. I was intrigued more than anything, to see how it worked on dark skin because I had not seen many reviews of this palette on dark skin tones. Anyone who has tried BECCA products know that they are not cheap! Their prices are not for the faint-hearted, however, I have to say…

101 on makeup brushes | Key brushes that you need in your collection

Buying a new set of makeup brushes as a beginner can be as daunting as giving birth for the first time. How would I know how to push? Is the pain that bad or are people exaggerating?! Do I really have to go through labour, can the baby just magically appear in my arms….ok maybe it is not the same! However, as a beginner you can look at all the brushes thinking, what am I going to do with all of these brushes?! I used to just improvise…very badly might I add. Using a powder…

Products I NEED to get from the US

The amount of products I see and hear about from Instagram and Youtube is alot! Also, my makeup collection is also growing at an unprecedented rate, as the ‘new’ foundation or ‘new’ highlighter pops on my screen. I need help seriously!!!! Now, I love the UK. I was born and bred here, and I will always be a Sauf’ London girl at heart, even whilst I try to get rid of the blasted accent! However, just sometimes I wish I lived in the US. Yes, I know and I am fully aware of the struggles…

MY SHADE: 6W1 Sandlewood If you have oily skin, I beg you try Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. The foundation actually lasts all day and they have great shades for women of colour. You will not regret it. It in my opinion one of the best foundations out there for us oiles. I think the Double Wear Light is better for dry – combination skin types. When I saw this cushion stick foundation, I was intrigued. I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear, however I find the fact that it does not have a…

What order do you apply your Makeup? Eyebrows before or after foundation?

It is quite interesting when I watch other people do their makeup because it’s fun to see the different ways people can do the same thing. Alot of people do their makeup the same ol’ way, but when someone does it a little different, it captures my attention. There are no hard and fast rules about how to apply makeup, so do whatever suits you. But I will share how I do mine. Let me know in the comments how you do yours so I can try something different. You never know, different can be…

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer on Dark Skin | First Impressions and Review

I have wanted to try this concealer for a while but I was unsure about the shade selection. My problem with the NARS concealer was mainly the colour selection. Amande was not light enough and I bought Caramel which ended up being too light and pale for me. I ended up giving it away, and never replaced it. I like my under-eye concealer to have warm undertones. I like the LA Girl Pro Concealer but don’t like the fact that it settled into my fine lines, and the Kevyn Aucoin skin enhancer is too heavy…
