Shea Moisture Jamaican Castor Oil Leave in Conditioner | Review

Having a daughter has taught me and continues to teach me so many things. Lessons such as learning how to be incredibly careful during  those hair-washing days. The moment water or tear-free shampoo accidentally touches her eyes, it is a wrap! There is no more washing that can be done! Or learning the art of contouring your body into different, unnatural positions as you try and do her hair whilst she is sleeping, just so she doesn’t wake up. Or being ready to go into battle and mentally preparing yourself for the screams and wriggling because you can’t be bothered…

Beauty Update | 6 Products in my makeup collection that do not rock my boat

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF 30  I bought this product with high hopes. I had heard some good reviews for this and took the plunge and bought it. This product cost me £50, which is alot for a primer but I spent those coins hoping that it will solve my oily skin struggles. This product is said to blur large pores and is a great base for makeup acting as a primer. My verdict? All I can say is that this product is currently sitting on my bathroom shelf and I haven’t touched it since I came…

Sephora France Haul | Makeup and Beauty products

While I was in Nice, South of France, I made it a priority for me to go to Sephora. All the US bloggers and YouTubers are always raving about on about this store and unfortunately we don’t have it in the UK. I knew there is Sephora in France so I dragged my hubby and daughter along with me. I picked up several things, things that I wouldn’t be able to get in the UK. I didn’t see the point of getting the exact same things I could get in the UK, especially as the…

How to determine your skin undertone

Knowing your skin undertone is quite important, as it helps you to buy the right foundation and products suited for your complexion. I have made this mistake by borrowing a friend’s foundation and making the assumption that because we both have similar skin tones her foundation will be ok for me. Wrong! The foundation just looked off on me, and I couldn’t understand why. Well, now I know. It was because of undertones, people within the same race can have different undertones. There are some darker skin women who have blue undertones, while others can…

Has your makeup expired?

I never knew makeup had an expiration date. Actually, I probably knew it but subsciously ignored it. I keep my foundation until it is finished, without looking at the expiration date at all. I still have a mascara that is a year old. I never throw away makeup. I was surprised when I was doing research that you are supposed to throw things away when they expire! I am looking at my wallet like mate, this foundation costs me £32 I will use until it is well and truly finished! In one slightly embarrassing act…

Lush Face Masks | First Impression and Reviews

Lush Face masks…I have heard so much about these face masks but I have never tried them. I have to be honest here, the smell of Lush stores is too overpowering for me. It is just too strong for me personally. Some people like the smell but I just cannot handle it. For that reason alone, I have not tried many of their products. Even getting this face mask was difficult, I started to feel the back of my throat itch when I walked into the store. I react to things quite quickly, so it…

Heyyyy guys, we are gradually approaching summer…even though it does not feel like it here in London! We are still getting heavy rain, icy cold blasts…the full works basically! I love doing my nails and having bright bold colours on my nails during this time of the year. I may have mentioned it before but I am on a break from acrylics because girl…if you saw how weak my nails were when I took them off!!!! It was not even funny! When I stumble on nail varnishes that are long-lasting and have a great colour…
