I love Spring! | Laura Mercier, ABH, ASOS and more

Hey guys, I am going through the motions when it comes to leaving Winter behind. I love my vamp colours and hiding behind layers and layers of clothes. As the weather gets warmer, I am starting to realise that I need to switch up my skincare regime and my makeup products. Also I need to lose a couple of pounds in weight. I will talk about my weight gain and hopefully my weight loss story in another post.

What I do love about Spring is the colours. The pretty pastels, the golds (well I wear gold throughout the whole year! Gold is my black!), the yellows, the highlight, the luminous skin. Spring is all about introducing those colours back in your wardrobe and your makeup. I did a Spring Lipstick lookbook so check it out (here). These are pretty much my go-to lipsticks in Spring.

Here are some makeup products and clothes that are perfect for spring.

I saw this concealer when I was in LA, and could kick myself for not buying it then! I tried it recently and I was pleasantly surprised. This concealer comes in so many shades for all skin tones which I love. NARS doesn’t disappoint with this concealer, it is full coverage and matte which is great for your under-eye area. A little goes a long way with this concealer, but it still remains lightweight on your skin. This is a perfect concealer for this season.

I have never worn a tinted moisteriser before because I am always afraid that it will not have enough coverage and will not come in my shade. A tinted moisteriser is basically like a moisteriser with colour in it. I tried on this tinted moisteriser and I was amazed at the results! Not only did it cover up my hyperpigmentation, it brightened my skin. You know how in winter, especially as a woman of colour your skin can get a little dull looking, I hate it when that happens. This tinted moisteriser brighten up my skin and was surprisingly long lasting once the sales consultant set it with a little translucent powder. I was soooooo impressed.

I recently got this eyeshadow palette and I am in love. I had heard so much about it, so I decided to bite the bullet and buy it for myself. I am doing a giveaway pretty soon and this palette is included so stay tuned! The colours are beautiful all year round but particularly this time of year. The pinks, the browns, and the shimmery champagne colours are perfect for this time of year. The eyeshadows themselves are highly pigmented and are super easy to blend. If you have a beautiful toffee, caramel, milk or dark chocolate skin tone, this is perfect for you. Haha! I always compare medium to dark skintones to chocolate, because I honestly believe that this melanin infused skin is sweeter than sweet! Can I get an amen!!!!!??!

Lancome UK/US (here)*

This foundation has got 40 shades!!!! Yup you heard me correctly. It has 40 shades, so women from different skin tones can find a shade for them. This foundation is everything. It is great for different skin types, it is long lasting and easy to blend out. Oily/ Combination skin types may have to set it with powder but then again we are are used to that struggle! If you have trouble finding your exact shade in foundation, I would advise you to get a sample of this Lancome foundation, you may find your shade here.

Zara (here)

I know this isn’t makeup but I went to Covent Garden over the weekend with my darling sister, and we spotted this biker jacket in Zara.

Guess how much it was? £20! Yup it was £20. I love leather jackets because I think they are the perfect stylish piece of clothing for your  Spring/Summer wardrobe, you can add layers underneath if its a bit cold, or just wear a simple vest top if its getting warmer. It makes you look stylish without even trying. I love leather jackets but I usually don’t like the prices.  The prices for leather jackets are usually quite high.

I love this £20 leather jacket from Zara because it looks so much more expensive. I love the detailing on the shoulders and sleeves. I love the zip details and the silver buttons. All for £20? Yes please! I bought it straightaway. It is still in stores so go and get one!

ASOS (here)*

I saw this on a YouTuber and I loveeeeeeeee this dress! It is perfect for this time of year. I’m loving the detailing around the arms, especially the cold shoulder detail of the dress. Throw on a pair of wedges or heeled sandals with some minimal gold jewellery and you are good to go! The fact that its long and flowing means you can eat and eat without feeling like everyone is seeing your food baby! The foodies will understand what I mean! Haha!

So here is my Spring/Summer products that I am loving at the moment. I threw in some clothes, something other than makeup this time. What do you guys think? Did you like this post? Would you like to see more of it?
