Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer on Dark Skin | First Impressions and Review

I have wanted to try this concealer for a while but I was unsure about the shade selection. My problem with the NARS concealer was mainly the colour selection. Amande was not light enough and I bought Caramel which ended up being too light and pale for me. I ended up giving it away, and never replaced it. I like my under-eye concealer to have warm undertones. I like the LA Girl Pro Concealer but don’t like the fact that it settled into my fine lines, and the Kevyn Aucoin skin enhancer is too heavy so it sometimes looked cakey. I don’t love any of the concealers in my collection.

But then I stumbled on this Urban Decay concealer and it was singing from the shelves “you should let me love you. Let me be the one to give you everything you want and need!” So I just had to give it a shot!

What do Urban Decay say about this product:

“Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin to give you full coverage in an instant. Hide even your most scandalous flaws. My Thoughts:

I love it! This is one awesome concealer.

It is smooth on application and it is really light on the skin, which is great because it blends out really well. It did not feel too thick and cakey on the skin but had full coverage. The coverage was incredible. It has a doe-foot applicator similar to liquid lipsticks, and I really liked this applicator because it was easy to apply. It also meant that I didn’t apply too much product. I love this concealer. It really felt like second skin, no word of a lie.

I always find it difficult to choose the right shade for my under-eye concealer, because of my warm undertones. I went for Dark – Golden, which was the perfect shade for me. There are quite a few shades that could be suitable for medium to dark skin tones which was great to see.

There are 11 shades available. Eight shades suitable for medium to dark skin tones: Medium-Light, Medium-Neutral, Medium -Dark Warm, Medium – Dark Neutral, Dark – Golden, Dark – Neutral, Dark – Warm, Deep – Neutral.

However, the shades can be quite hard to figure out, so I asked the sales consultant to test it on me before I bought it. It is similar to the NARS concealer but I would say that it has slightly more coverage and gives a less dewy finish, which I personally like. It is more matte than the NARS concealer, a semi-matte finish, which is great for me. It is also cheaper! This is definitely the best concealer for my under-eye area that I have tried.

I am looking at getting this Concealer but the shades confuse me. Can you please tell me as a guideline what shade you use for La girl pro Conceal or your Mac foundation shade

Hey, yeah the shades of the concealer are not the easiest! For some reference, I am NW44/45 in MAC foundation and I use Fawn as my LA Pro Girl Concealer. I hope that helps xxx
