Large pores and oily skin | Products I am trying out

Hey guys, sorry that my blog posts have been abit sporadic lately, I have had some challenges in my personal life that I have been dealing with. It has been tough but I believe that I will get through it.

I am constantly on the hunt for new beauty products especially the ones available in the UK. I love finding great products and reviewing it for you guys. Due to the current season we are in, I am on the hunt for products that help with large pores and oily skin because that’s something that affects me. I apologise to my ladies with dry skin, I know I don’t really show products suitable for your skin type, because to be honest I don’t buy things for dry skin…why? Because I don’t suffer from dry skin on my face only on my body.

The products I am trying out were not cheap, but I really wanted to try them out so I went ahead and bought them. This ‘hunt’ was instigated by my hubby who was taking a close look at my face and pointed out these large ‘holes’ on my face! What?! You can see them too?!!! From then I knew it was a wrap! I love that flawless pore-free makeup look without filters and I will get it, come rain or shine!

MAC Prep & Prime Skin Refined Zone – £17.00

I have heard that this product is great for reducing the size of large pores. I use primers that help with large pores but I need extraaaaaa help in this area, so I was looking for a product that specifically tackles this problem, so let’s see if this works. I hope it is better than the MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base Visage which I dislike with a passion!

How is this product described?

‘A light, oil-free emulsion that helps cloak visible pores while controlling oil and shine. Applies wet for a gentle micro-exfoliation: dries instantly to create an invisible, long-lasting natural matte finish. Ideal for the T-zone.’

Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional – £24.50

This product is apparently the UK’s no. 1 best selling face primer, and gets rid of large pores like magic, so I wanted to give it a go. It also has great reviews so why not?

How is this product described?

‘Quickly minimise the appearance of pores and get a picture-perfect complexion with Benefit The Porefessional. Complementing all skin tones and suitable for use under or over make-up, this oil-free primer will smoothen any open pores and unify the skin to make it look radiant and absolutely flawless. Pores…now you see ’em, now you don’t!’

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Primer – £55.00

downloadThis product was not cheap to say the least! It’d better be effective that’s all I’m saying! I have heard that this product is great as a primer and smooths your skin texture, hence the name ‘invisiblur’. I like the fact that it has SPF 30, so it also protects my skin from those deadly sun rays which causes wrinkles.

How is this product described?

‘Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield. A unique multi-benefit serum which instantly blurs skin imperfections whilst protecting the skin with invisible SPF technology. Skin is left even and smooth, creating the ideal foundation for flawless make up application. Treats: 71% saw fewer fine lines and wrinkles. Blurs: 94% saw improved smoothness and texture.
